Our Newmarket In-House NHS Catering Team are looking to recruit a highly motivated Chef to join our team producing meals for our patients, staff and visitors.

With over 75% of our menu items being freshly prepared using local sourced quality ingredients within our well-equipped kitchen using standard recipes. The post holder will use traditional methods with fresh ingredients and observe food safety regulations and Trust/departmental procedures.

Who we are looking for…

The ideal candidates will hold City and Guilds 706-1 and 2 or NVQ Level 2 in Food Preparation and Cooking plus a Level 2 Food Safety Certificate (or equivalent) and have previous cooking experience. They will also be self-motivated and able to work under pressure whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

They will be required to work straight shifts for 37.5-hour week over 5 days working alternate weekends is required for the post. Hours of duty will be between 6-30am to 7pm with some Bank Holidays included.
