Key Responsibilities:
As Front Office Manager you will have a hands-on leadership role, responsible for overseeing Reception Teams’ performance, ensuring the smooth running of our front desk operation daily. Our first-class Front Office Team is the heart of the hotel, providing a warm welcome and happy smile and where we strive to deliver a hospitality experience that is beyond expectation – creating memorable moments for our guests. As Front Office Manager you will therefore be the first point of contact for our valued guests, You will manage and monitor all activities of all employees in the Front Office department making sure they adhere to our standards of excellence and to the guidelines set by the hotel policies and procedures, coaching, training and correcting where needed. You will ensure that a professional and high quality service oriented environment is maintained at all times. Ensuring that the Reception Team appropriately interacts with guests. You will also be responsible for handling customer queries and complaints. A strong attention to detail and attentiveness comes to you naturally. You are highly knowledgeable of all hotel facilities and services and familiar with the highlights of our town and region. You have a strong ability to build lasting relationships with our guests. In the absence of the hotel General Manager, you will act as manager on duty for the hotel.

Requirements:
Previous hospitality and front desk experience,

Degree or Diploma in Hotel Management or similar

2+ years’ experience in a similar managerial role, preferably in a 5-star hotel

Must be extremely hospitality orientated.

A minimum of 2 years Opera experience is required

Excellent guest service and communication skills

Ability to lead a team and communicate with all relevant departments

Proficient in English both written and verbal communication

Familiar with all duties and procedures in the Front Desk Department

MSOffice (Word, Excel) is essential

Reliable, and responsible to fulfil all tasks and the ability to multitask

Ensure accurate billing and finalise guests’ bills and issue receipts upon payment

Make arrangements for sightseeing, experiences and restaurants

Special requests must be handled in a knowledgeable and professional manner

Follow in-house SOP’s to ensure the security of guests and your colleagues

You must be physically fit to move around as you will be expected to stand for extended periods of time.
