Rooms Division Manager Job at AccorHotels – Victoria
Mantra Tullamarine is currently seeking an energetic career focused Rooms Division Manager to join our Front Office team.
Reporting to the General Manager, you will be responsible for managing the day to day running of the Rooms Departments including Front Office and Housekeeping, ensuring guest and owners expectations are exceeded whilst maximising profitability and driving brand standards.
As our next Rooms Division Manager, you will:
Be responsible for the recruitment and selection of all Front Office Team Members.
Respond to guest complaints and provide relevant action and follow up.
Co-ordinate strategies to rectify over-bookings.
Ensure relevant departments are kept informed of occupancy and requirements of specific groups.
Ensure safe handling of money and correct reconciliation of banking procedures.
Conduct performance appraisals on a regular basis in a positive constructive way in accordance with company guidelines.
Participate in cross department meetings to keep the property updated on Front Office activities.
What we are looking for:
Passion, drive and the ability to work autonomously.
Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a Rooms Division Manager or Senior Front Office Manager together with excellent knowledge and understanding of Front Office operations and reporting.
Strong understanding of Revenue and Reservations Management and computer literacy.
Proven experience and knowledge of Sihot PMS would be advantageous.
Flexible approach in adapting to guest requests.
Good interpersonal and communication skills.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work under pressure.
Must be available to work on a 7 day rotating roster inclusive of weekends and public holidays.
